The Jesus Challenge

The ‘Jesus Challenge’ is a simple idea that involves mentioning the name of Jesus or your Catholic faith in an organic way in everyday conversations.

• Be natural: Mention Jesus in a way that flows naturally in the conversation.

• Be intentional: Look for opportunities, but don't force it.

• Be prayerful: Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you and to open the hearts of those with whom you are speaking.

• Be ready: Be prepared to share your personal testimony or a brief explanation of your faith if the conversation leads to it.

How to do the Jesus Challenge:

• Start with people you know: Begin with friends, family members, or co-workers.

• Seek opportunities: Listen and look for ways to connect what they are saying to your faith in Jesus. Even if simply saying ‘God bless’ at the end of a chat.

• Share your story: Talk about how the difference Jesus has made in your life and what he means to you.

• Be bold: Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

• Practise: Challenge yourself to mention Jesus at least once each day.
