Following from the fruits of We dare to Say last year and commissioned by the Bishops' Conference Mission Directorate, We Dare to Hope features five faith-sharing sessions on the theme of Christian Hope. Written by the Dominican Sisters in the New Forest and produced by the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis, this resource is primarily for groups but can successfully and faithfully be used for individual reflection. The sessions explore the following themes through Scripture, prayer, art and reflections:

  1. Christian Hope is received from God

  2. Hope is a human decision

  3. Hope is a human act

  4. Hope is a human desire

  5. Hope is placed in God

Against presumption and despair we have hope; a gift both natural and supernatural!

Copies are available from the Agency website (aec.rcaos.org.uk/store) or by contacting the Agency by email: aec@rcaos.org.uk.

Keep your eyes open for other resources being produced in this Jubilee Year which include:

Saints of Southwark - a guide to many of the men and women which have hallowed this diocese over the centuries and a look at the various shrines and holy places herein;

Pilgrimage to Pentecost - a six-session course featuring video teachings, music and testimonies as well as a personal guide with daily meditations and a Pentecost novena;

and Rosary for Evangelisation - encouraging prayer as a fundamental part of our archdiocesan renewal.
