Masterclass: Companion to the Directory for Catechesis

Dr Petroc Willey and Dr Joseph White, authors of the Companion to the Directory for Catechesis, will join us on Thursday 27 May at 7:30pm to speak about the Directory for Catechesis and how their new companion might help us explore its riches.

About our speakers
Petroc Willey is blessed to be married to Katherine and has four children – Charis, Benedict, Nicholas and David, and four grandchildren. Originally from England, he now lives in Steubenville, Ohio, where he is a Professor of Theology and Director of the Catechetical Institute at Franciscan University. Petroc has worked in Catholic education and formation, in Oxford and Birmingham, and now in the United States, for more than thirty-five years, in university, seminary and lay institutions, and in both traditional and distance education. He was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as a Consultor for the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization.
Joseph D. White converted to the Catholic faith while in graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received a PhD. in Clinical Psychology. He later studied Catholic Theology at St Mary's University in San Antonio. Joseph White served as a parish Director of Faith Formation for two years, and then served for seven years as Director of Family Counseling and Family Life for the Diocese of Austin, Texas. He now works as Director of Catechetical Resources for OSV Publishing and Curriculum and teaches courses in Catechetical Ministry at Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Joseph White has written thirteen books and numerous articles about catechesis, Catholic education, spirituality, and ministry. He lives with his wife, Ana, in Texas.
