Congratulations to our Students

At the diocesan Day for Catechists, this year, students on both the Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies and the Diocesan Catechetical Certificate (now the Archbishop’s Certificate) were handed their certificates by Bishop Paul Hendricks.

Months of hard work by all of the students clearly paid off and, at a reception after the award presentation, the students spoke gratefully about their experiences on the courses. Martin, offered the following reflection:

I very much enjoyed the mass on Saturday and was glad to receive my certificate from the Bishop.  I found the course comprehensive and extremely well taught.  It was demanding but also very rewarding

Two students have since moved on to further study after enjoying the courses and others are making use of the lessons learned in their teaching and catechetical work in their parishes.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to those who completed the courses but were unable to make the event at the Cathedral.
