Welcoming Gianna and Jane to the Agency team

In summer 2025, we said goodbye to Mary Kotey and Ann Williams. We thank them for offering their time, energy and gifts to the mission of the Church in Southwark and assure them of our prayers and best wishes.

Since its inception, the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis (AEC) has developed a strong reputation for effective and creative support for parishes in terms of Evangelisation, Catechesis, and Formation; chiefly expressed in the Some Definite Service approach to parish growth.

We are delighted with the appointment, late last year, of Gianna Parisato and Jane Burton to continue the good work of Mary and Ann. They will help in the development of the SDS approach and contribute to the work of the Agency in specific ways.

Gianna Parisato

We are very happy to announce that Gianna Parisato has joined the Agency as the new diocesan Departmental Administrator. Gianna is heavily involved with the Loreto apostolate and her primary responsibilities at the Agency will include managing events, financial recordkeeping, being the initial point of contact with the Agency, and supporting the advisory team with administration.

Jane Burton

A large part of the Agency’s offering to the archdiocese comes in the form of the long-format courses: the Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies and the Archbishop’s Certificate. We are very glad indeed to have Jane Burton joining the team to support both students and tutors on our long-format courses. Jane brings a wealth of knowledge, a personal faith in Jesus Christ and extensive pastoral experience, all of which will be highly valued as she starts the role of Course Administrator.

We look forward to working them both and know that they are keen to introduce themselves to the clergy and lay faithful in the Archdiocese of Southwark over the coming months.
