JOB: Local Leadership and Resource Coordinator
We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as the Local Leadership and Resource Coordinator.
The Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis (AEC) has developed a strong reputation for effective and creative support for parishes in terms of Evangelisation, Catechesis, and Formation. This is chiefly expressed in the Some Definite Service approach to parish growth.
The person appointed to this post will have a key role in the ongoing development of the SDS approach and contribute to the work of the Agency and the Archdiocese in other ways. They will need to have regard to the teachings of the Catholic Church and the mission of the Archdiocese, and not do anything in any way detrimental or prejudicial to its interests or to the Catholic Church. Local Leadership and Resource Coordinator
Full-time in our London office (Bowen House, SE1).
The Local Leadership and Resource Coordinator will have specific responsibility for:
the administration, development and promotion of the Some Definite Service (SDS) volunteer missionary network comprising Deanery Mentors and Parish Leads (together with the respective advisors);
Managing systems to serve contact at all levels of the networks;
Developing ‘pathways’ of training for those in roles of parish leadership and ministry with particular focus on the SDS network;
Supporting the creation, development and sustaining of parish plans for evangelisation, catechesis and formation;
Assisting with parish renewal activities and the ongoing formation of clergy.
