Annual Highlights 2025
We are glad to publish our annual highlights from 2025, a Jubilee Year which saw many graces.
The numbers at the Rite of Election were higher once more, our Masterclass series returned and our collaborative efforts expanded greatly. The Pilgrimage to Pentecost resource was taken up across the diocese and the Jubilee Celebration at The Friars, Aylesford saw well over 3000 people in attendance.
We said goodbye to two members of the team, Mary Kotey and Ann Williams (the latter had been with us since the CCF was at Tooting Bec), and welcomed Gianna Parisato and Jane Burton to the team. We also bade farewell to Canon Marcus Holden as he became Rector of the Pontifical Beda College, he brought an incredible amount to the archdiocese as Episcopal Vicar for Evangelisation and Catechesis.
We continued with our major events: the diocesan Day for Catechesis and the Evangelisation Expo, and our Formation Fayre was hosted in the North Barn at the Aylesford festival. Archbishop John greeted members of the volunteer missionary network at our SDS gathering in Advent 2025.
New resources were produced, such as the Rosary for Evangelisation and new initiatives, e.g. Sparks of Light, were started. We also helped the Bishop’s Conference with its Lent resource, We Dare to Hope, a faith-sharing booklet on the Jubilee theme.
