Nightfever

Nightfever is an evening, outreach event involving an open church, prayer, candlelight, and music. By creating a peaceful environment, people who may not otherwise come into a church, are invited in and can encounter God.

  1. Preparation: Gather a team of volunteers. Pick a date, and promote through flyers, social media and word of mouth.

  2. Set-up: Arrange the church with candles, music, and decorations to create a peaceful atmosphere. Prepare prayer cards or booklets that guests can use.

  3. Go Out and Invite: Nightfever volunteers head onto the street and invite passers-by in, to light a candle and spend time in quiet reflection or prayer.

  4. Welcome Guests: As guests arrive, welcome them warmly. Offer assistance but provide space and privacy as needed.

  5. Share the Gospel: Use music, brief talks or testimonies, or prayer cards highlighting key Bible themes to share the Gospel. Invite guests to make a commitment to Jesus Christ, or to seek prayer or help from volunteers.

  6. Follow-up: Afterwards, contact guests who made commitments or expressed interest in learning more about the Christian faith. Provide resources or support as needed, and encourage them to seek God through prayer, Bible study, and involvement in a faith community.
