Welcoming Daniel and Niklas to the team

In August 2023 and in April 2024, we said goodbye to Brenden Thompson (now the new Word on Fire UK Director) and JJ Hussem (now working as Parish Support, Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana) respectively. It is with prayer and thanks that we see Brenden and JJ go, it is with joy that we announce our new colleagues:

Daniel Ferguson

We are delighted to announce that Daniel Ferguson has agreed to join the Agency as the new diocesan Evangelisation and Outreach Advisor. Daniel comes with a wealth of parish experience in evangelisation and evangelising catechesis (with an emphasis on accompaniment through programmes) and starts on Monday 15 July. His primary responsibilities will be the accompaniment of our Evangelisation Deanery Mentors, highlighting training opportunities in outreach and strengthening relationships with the parishes and other apostolates in evangelisation.

Niklas Carlsson

A key component part of Some Definite Service is the parish plan. We note that many parishes have found the process challenging and, occasionally, rather impersonal and so we are excited to announce that Niklas Carlsson will take up a part-time role directly supporting parishes in the discernment and development of their parish plans as our Planning Coordinator. Niklas is a member of the Cor et Lumen Christi movement and comes from both a strong faith and engineering backgrounds.

We look forward to working them both and know that they are keen to introduce themselves to the clergy and lay faithful in the Archdiocese of Southwark over the coming months.
